I've been fortunate to travel to some of the most beautiful places in the world. I've seen landscapes that stop you in your tracks and remind you how small we are in comparison to the natural world.

But few places have affected me as deeply as America's national parks.

There is something extraordinary about standing among giant sequoias, looking across the Grand Canyon, walking beneath towering mountains, or simply finding a quiet place where the only sounds are wind, water, and wildlife.

Our national parks are often called the people's parks. They belong to all of us, and I believe we share a responsibility to protect them, respect them, and keep them accessible for generations to come.

That belief is at the heart of EcoJTees.

Why I Started EcoJTees

My love of nature has grown through a lifetime of travel, outdoor experiences, and time spent in places worth protecting.

Along the way, I became more aware of the damage caused by overconsumption, disposable products, unnecessary waste, and the fast-fashion industry. I began thinking more seriously about the choices we make and the effect those choices can have.

EcoJTees grew from a simple question:

Could I build something that celebrates the outdoors while also doing some good for it?

I don't believe a T-shirt can save the planet. I also don't believe any of us has to live a perfectly sustainable life to make a difference.

But I do believe our choices matter.

Choosing something made with more thoughtful materials, keeping it longer, producing only what is needed, planting a tree, picking up litter along a trail, or helping someone appreciate a national park for the first time—each action may feel small on its own.

Together, those actions can become something meaningful.

Apparel Inspired by the Places We Love

EcoJTees creates apparel inspired by national parks, wildlife, camping, road trips, and the moments that connect us to the outdoors.

Whenever possible, I select products made with organic, recycled, or lower-impact materials. EcoJTees also uses a print-on-demand model, which means an item is created only after it is ordered. This helps avoid large amounts of unsold inventory and unnecessary waste.

I'm still learning, and EcoJTees is still growing. I will never pretend that every product or decision is perfect.

My commitment is simply to be honest about where we are, continue looking for better options, and make thoughtful improvements as the business grows.

Planting Trees Is Only the Beginning

Planting a tree for every product sold is one of the first ways EcoJTees is working to give something back.

But I don't want it to be the last.

My hope is that EcoJTees can grow into more than an apparel company. I want it to become a community of customers who appreciate wild places, care about the future of the environment, and understand that meaningful change often begins with small, realistic steps.

As EcoJTees grows, I hope our ability to support reforestation, environmental cleanup, conservation, and the protection of public lands grows with it.

There is a great deal of good we can do together.

Progress, Not Perfection

EcoJTees isn't about judging anyone for what they buy or expecting people to change everything about their lives overnight.

It is about becoming more aware.

It is about asking better questions, making more intentional decisions, and remembering that convenience should not always come at the expense of the places we love.

We may not be able to solve every environmental problem, but we can each do something.

And doing something is where change begins.

A Small, Independent Business

EcoJTees is an independently owned, online business based in Rancho Mirage, California.

There is no large corporate team behind the brand. I'm John, the founder, and I'm building EcoJTees one design, one lesson, and one customer at a time.
